Switchback privacy policy

Effective 21 October 2026

Switchback does not collect, store, share or sell any information about you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet: we run no server that it talks to. It asks for no permissions.

Your files

The worksheets and publications you add are read on your own device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. Only the publication’s citation index is read, not its article text. The filled worksheet is made in memory and saved only where you choose. When the window closes, nothing is kept except your text style and any files you shared to Switchback on iPhone or iPad, which wait on the device until you replace or remove them.

Links to jw.org

The checklist links to the pages on jw.org where each file can be downloaded. Those open in your web browser, and what jw.org does is governed by its own privacy policy.

What Apple may collect

If you install Switchback from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple handles the download and, if you have agreed to it in your device’s settings, may share anonymous crash and usage reports with developers. That is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The Mac download from this site comes from GitHub, which handles that download under its own privacy policy. Email you choose to send us reaches us with whatever you put in it; we use it only to answer you and improve the app.

Children

Switchback is suitable for all ages and, as it collects nothing, collects nothing from children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Switchback is made by Pronghorn Labs, part of Prairie Fire, LLC, in Colorado. Questions: hello@pronghornlabs.net.
