Deskly privacy policy

Effective 7 October 2026

Deskly does not collect, store, share or sell any information about you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we run no server that it talks to. It shows you things that are already on your iPad, and asks for each one only when a tile needs it.

What stays on your iPad

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Your choices, such as your layout, background, feeds and which sources to hide, are saved on your iPad only.

Location and weather

For the weather tile, Deskly asks for your iPad’s location while the app is in use. It sends that location to Apple Weather to get the forecast, and to Apple to find the name of the place. Apple handles it under Apple’s privacy policy. Deskly keeps the last location on your iPad so the tile still works if a new one can’t be found. If you don’t use the weather tile, Deskly never asks for your location.

News feeds

The news tile fetches each feed you add straight from the site that publishes it, without cookies. That site sees an ordinary request from your iPad, including its IP address, as it would from any feed reader. Articles you open load in a browser view inside Deskly, governed by that site’s own policy.

Deskly Plus

Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple. Deskly asks Apple whether you have one; we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.

What Apple may collect

Apple handles the download and, if you have agreed to it in your iPad’s settings, may share anonymous crash and usage reports with developers. That is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Email you choose to send us reaches us with whatever you put in it; we use it only to answer you.

Children

Deskly collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes and contact
